BELFAST TRADITIONAL MUSIC TRAIL
www.belfasttradtrail.com

The Belfast Traditional Music Trail is a unique way to experience Irish music.

With two professional musicians as your guides, walk through cobbled alleyways, past famous landmarks and on to private bars in some of the city's oldest buildings. At each stop you will be treated to a performance of traditional tunes, songs and stories, all of which make up your own personal 'session'. Enjoy a local beer, cider, whiskey or Guinness while learning about the instruments, language, customs and history that make up Ireland's vibrant musical tradition. Join us on this interactive experience and discover why Belfast is considered one of Ireland's best cities for Traditional Irish Music.

Our Trail lasts around 2 ½ hours and will take place in Belfast’s vibrant and centrally located Cathedral Quarter. We start off at 4pm by the cosy fireside of The Dirty Onion bar, and finish up in a private room in one of Belfast’s oldest buildings, McHugh’s. There’ll be plenty of ceol agus craic (music and fun) in store and you might just want to bring your dancing shoes….!

Total walking distance will be roughly 900m, the walking pace will be light and we aim to keep our group together at all times. Should you wish to eat before embarking on the trail we recommend the Yardbird chicken rotisserie restaurant upstairs at The Dirty Onion. If you wish to eat after the trail, McHughs restaurant serves great Irish cuisine with a modern twist. A 10% discount on food is available to Trail ticket holders at both these partner venues.

Our meeting point is The Dirty Onion, 3 Hill Street Belfast. Please be there for 4pm.

Musicians will be seated by the fireside at the back of The Dirty Onion. When you arrive at the bar, just follow the music and take a seat.

The trail will start promptly at 4pm. Our first venue is a meeting point only. Will only spend the first 10 minutes in The Dirty Onion. We would be grateful if you would bear this in mind when ordering and finishing drinks as we will be unable to delay the tour to facilitate.

Our guides aim to keep the group together at all times. Please help them to do this by staying with the group.

Walking and climbing stairs will be necessary on the tour. Total walking distance will be roughly 900m and the walking pace will be light. If you have any concerns about accessibility please contact us: info@belfasttradtrail.com or 028 90288818

The Trail will last approximately 2½ hours and will visit three venues. Should this change for any reason you will be informed when you meet your guides.
